       The Georgia Legal Services Foundation was founded in 1998 to build a permanent, stable financial base for the Georgia Legal Services Program.

       Funds to support the GLS Foundation come from cy pres awards and other types of contributions, such as gifts of cash, gifts of stocks or bonds, gifts of personal property, and gifts of real estate.  These funds are invested by the GLS Foundation for prudent growth.

       The GLS Foundation has made gifts to the Georgia Legal Services Program to support special critical projects such as a major technology upgrade, the purchase of the program's first building and a public education campaign to raise the visibility of the Georgia Legal Services Program and its work.
