Acknowledgments

The Renter's Guide was originally published by NMPIRG at the University of New Mexico in 1977. The Legal Aid Society of Albuquerque printed the second, third, and fourth editions in 1979, 1984 and 1986, respectively. NMPIRG published the fifth edition in 1989, with the assistance of the Legal Aid Society of Albuquerque. The Legal Aid Society of Albuquerque updated and published the sixth edition in 1995.

The seventh edition is updated through the 2004 Legislative Session. Funds for this edition were provided by the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority.

The illustrations in this edition of the Renters Guide are by Rini Templeton. Rini generously contributed her artwork to the advancement of social justice in our society. Many thanks for her beautiful, sensitive and thoughtful legacy. More of Rini’s art and information about her life is available here.
