Welcome!

Welcome to your home page and online resource for information regarding the Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Legal Fellows for the Louisiana Bar Foundation.

Formally known as the Pro Bono Legal Corps, the Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Legal Fellows for the Louisiana Bar Foundation consists of two attorneys who connect law students with underserved clients, increase law student participation in pro bono work, and further law student interest in public interest legal careers.

Specifically, the Fellows collaborate with community legal aid providers and the Louisiana State University Law Center and the Southern University Law Center to develop quality pro bono opportunities and programs for students attending those law schools.  The Fellows also recruit and train law students to volunteer with the pro bono projects and provide on-going management and coordination of the pro bono projects and volunteers.

If you are a law student interested in volunteering for pro bono opportunities or are a pro bono legal service provider interested in working with us, please contact us at ejwa@raisingthebar.org.

You may also contact The Louisiana Bar Foundation through www.raisingthebar.org.
